Our home-based daycare is located in Newlands, Wellington. Pick-up and drop-off is included in our daycare fees. We can not allow daycare parents to drop off and pick up their dogs as we are located in a residential area - this would cause a lot of traffic and parking issues.

Pick-up is from 8:15am and drop-off begins around 3:30-45pm. We service the following areas; Newlands, Woodridge, Paparangi, Johnsonville, Churton Park, Grenada Village, Glenside, Khandallah, and some of Ngaio - an approximate radius of 5 km from Johnsonville. Please enquire if you are not sure whether your address fits within our service area.

We have an absolute maximum of 10 dogs per day, primarily small and medium breeds. We have a Facebook group for our daycare parents to join, we share photos and updates here. Alternatively, if you are not on Facebook we can email/text through some photos occasionally of your dog.

Doggy daycare is all about having a safe and fun space for dogs to play and learn. We look forward to welcoming you and your dogs into our family :)

About our daycare

At our home-based doggy daycare, our primary focus is to make your life easier by providing your dog with a safe and happy space, in a friendly and stimulating environment whilst you are away. We are all dog lovers and understand that each dog has different needs and we pride ourselves in providing individualized high-quality care. Your dogs will be supervised, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Some of our policies:

  • We always praise good behaviours from our dogs and interrupt behaviours we don’t like. We do this by redirecting their focus onto something we do like.

  • We will never put our dogs in situations that cause them any distress or that we know aren’t good for them. This includes making sure they are in the right size and temperament groups.

  • If a dog gets overwhelmed, overly aroused or excited, we will move them away from the situation and let them calm down.

  • We will never use physical punishments.
